Kieran Sheahan joins VGH Management Board

Schwelm, October 2010 – VGH Viktoria Garten Hüttenindustriebedarf AG has appointed Kieran Sheahan as a new Member of the Board. Sheahan (51) who has been with the Schwelm based company since 2009 in the position of New Business, now assumes responsibilities for Business Development and Procurement & Sales and will put a major focus on opening up the VGH business into new territories.
Sheahan has over 30 years of international experience and brings with him a wealth of knowledge from different industries in the fields where he has worked in the fields of sales, procurement and business development. Sheahan started his professional career in procurement in the pharmaceutical area with Wyeth Laboratories. He then took on a position in the engineering company Boart Hard Metals. Following this, Sheahan moved into the high tech industry with Wang Laboratories. It was with Wang that he gained significant international experience working in London, USA and Brussels for a period of 13 years. After Wang, Sheahan launched a sales and marketing company focused on helping North American and Asian manufacturers to sell their products successfully in Europe and set up their own European infrastructure. He worked here as Director of Sales for 16 years before joining VGH.

Sheahan holds an MSc with London Open Business School in Business, an MSc in Sales Management with Dublin Institute Technology (D.I.T) and is currently working on his Doctorate in Sales with D.I.T.
