VGH Italia: VGH launches business operations in Italy with refractory specialist Mauro Signorelli

Schwelm, Germany / 19th August 2009 – VGH Viktoria Garten Hüttenindustriebedarf AG has launched business operations in Italy and founded VGH S.r.l. in Bergamo, North Italy. Refractory specialist Mauro Signorelli (49) has been appointed manager of the Italian operations.

With Signorelli, VGH has won an experienced manager with over 23 years of experience in the steel industry. Signorelli’s career started at Shinto Italia, which belongs to the Japanese corporate group, Shinto, where he worked for 4 years as a production manager. Following this, Signorelli went on to work for the Italian refractory company Misano, starting as manager of logistic operations and moving on to occupy several leading functions including production manager and sales manager, finally taking up the position of General Manager of International Business in refractory bricks and graphite electrodes which he carried out for nearly 20 years.

In his new position for VGH in Italy, Signorelli sees his focus on capturing the potential which VGH, VGH’s brand theramer and VGH’s partner companies offer especially in regards to technical innovations and price / performance. Thanks to his international contacts in the steel industry and in raw material sourcing, Signorelli is in an excellent position to not only promote VGH activities in Italy but also to expand VGH’s international network thus opening up further fields of business.
